Lake District - Coniston Coppermines

One of my favourite weddings this year, this was such a nice day to capture. Just a small family only day in a private valley in the Lake District.

Being in the Lake District I stayed over the night before close by and was invited to their BBQ the night before so I took my camera along and snapped away for a great night before intro to the album. It was a fab evening and everyone was in good spirits.

The morning after it was time for everyone to get ready, I arrived early to capture everything unfolding in the cottage, each area was open to everyone so it was nice to have so many little rooms to move around in and capture what each side of the family was doing.

The ceremony came around quickly and took place in the largest room in the cottage, with enough space for their family. It was a really nice ceremony with high emotions in the room, such great support from both sides.

After they were pronounced Husband and Wife the weather seemed to change almost immediately to blue skys and sun! Of course we made the most of this change in the weather and after confetti and a nice shot of the whole family it was time to hop into a 4x4 and drive round to a waterfall!

They both had their boots on by this point and being keen ramblers climbed down a few rocks in front of the waterfall. I decided to go all in at this point and waded into the water to get some of the most stunning shots of the year!

After we were done here it was time to head back for food and speeches, once again they were very personal and emotions were high. It was such a nice moment to capture.

Finally we head back outside to make the most of the evening sun, using the surrounding old machinery and setting for some unique images that look amazing.

I had such a great time photographing this day, it just flew by! I look forward to hopefully returning one day!
